Virtual Programming

All classes and programs are virtual for the fall semester.  The Channel Islands Boating Center (CIBC) is offering virtual programming aimed at honing existing skills and teaching new ones.

The University encourages persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. If you anticipate needing any type of accommodation, or have questions about the physical access provided, please contact Disability Accommodations and Support Services at (805) 437-3331 or accommodations@csuci.edu as soon as possible, but no later than 7 business days prior to the event.

Virtual programming begins the week of August 24, 2020

Know before you go series: The CIBC has various videos on our YouTube channel that will help prepare you, the next time you get on the water.  Topics include Sailboat/kayak/SUP capsize recovery, Lifejacket fit, California Boating Card, docking, sailing techniques, paddling techniques, and many more!

Coastal Cleanup: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year the annual Coastal Cleanup Day (CCD) event is going to have a different approach:   Instead of a one-day statewide event, we will be asking people to volunteer each Saturday of September, between 9:00 am-12:00 pm.  Volunteers can clean their neighborhoods, local parks, local creeks, or other natural areas.  For more information on how to participate click here.
